Fat Fuzzy Distortion.
Nová edice zkreslovacích krabiček Lee Hooker vychází z podobného konceptu, jako některé krabičky slavného britského konstruktéra pedalboardů Petera Cornishe. (Mezi jeho stálé zákazníky patří celá britská kytarová elita v čele s Davidem Gilmourem, Jimmym Pagem, Ericem Claptonem, Jeffem Beckem a dalšími..) Základní myšlenkou pro designování těchto pedálů je skloubení požadavků na vintage zvuk z přelomu šedesátých a sedmdesátých let při současném zachování vysokého uživatelského komfortu.

PUFF TRIP - Fat Fuzzy Distortion.
Super tlustý zvuk s nekonečným sustainem, s jasnou artikulací a bohatými harmonickými, to je Lee Hooker Puff Trip. Kreslí víc než Ginger, jedná se tedy spíše o fuzz. Korekce jsou stejné jako u Gingera: VOLUME, TONE a SUSTAIN. Při vyjetém zkreslení (SUSTAIN) efekt zpívá jak Pavarotti a zahraný tón jakoby nemá konce. Stáhnete-li přitom tónovou clonu na kytaře, dostanete tzv. "woman´s tone" jak ze staré nahrávky Guess Who - American Woman. Stejně jako Ginger vychází Puff z klasiky Big Muff. Liší se použitím silikonových komponentů místo germaniových, což přináší vyšší zisk, tedy větší rozsah zkreslení a agresivnější zvuk. Též odlišný obvod na korekci TONE přináší širší zvuk, než je tomu u Gingera. Vysoko impedanční vstup s bufferem a nízká impedance na výstupu, true-bypass režim při přepínání a 9V pin- napájení, jsou stejně koncipované jako u předchozích krabiček této řady. Puff též pěkně spolupracuje při stahování volume na kytaře a oproti starým fuzzům je poměrně tichý, co se šumů-brumů týče. Takto upravený Big Muff je údajně jednou z nejzásadnějších krabiček Davida Gilmoura.


Our new line of LeeHooker distortion effects is based on the design concept requirement of vintage sound of the sixties and seventies of the last century while maintaining high user comfort. Similar idea was previously introduced by the famous British designer Peter Cornish. (His customers included entire British guitar elite such as David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and others ...)

Fat Fuzzy Distortion
Super thick sound with infinite sustain, with clear articulation and rich harmonics - this is Lee Hooker Puff Trip. It distorts more than Ginger, so it's more of a fuzz effect. The controls are the same as Ginger: VOLUME, TONE and SUSTAIN. When distorted (SUSTAIN up), the effect sings like Pavarotti and the tone sustain seems to have no end. If you at the same time turn down treble with the tone control, you will get the so-called "woman's tone" from the old Guess Who - American Woman recording. Like Ginger, Puff is based on the classic Big Muff. They differ in using silicone instead of germanium components which increases signal gain, giving you greater range of distortion and more aggressive sound. Also, a different TONE circuit delivers richer sound than the Ginger. The high impedance input with buffer and low impedance at the output, true-bypass and 9V pin-positive power supply are the same as in previous boxes of this line. Puff also works nicely with low guitar volume and compared to old fuzz is relatively quiet in terms of noise and hum. The Big Muff modified this way is allegedly one of David Gilmour's most important boxes.
