Germanium Distortion.
Nová edice zkreslovacích krabiček Lee Hooker vychází z podobného konceptu, jako některé krabičky slavného britského konstruktéra pedalboardů Petera Cornishe. (Mezi jeho stálé zákazníky patří celá britská kytarová elita v čele s Davidem Gilmourem, Jimmym Pagem, Ericem Claptonem, Jeffem Beckem a dalšími..) Základní myšlenkou pro designování těchto pedálů je skloubení požadavků na vintage zvuk z přelomu šedesátých a sedmdesátých let při současném zachování vysokého uživatelského komfortu.

Mohutný rockový zvuk Gingera navozuje reminiscence na počátek sedmdesátých let a syrový kytarový sound kapel Led Zeppelin a Bad Company. Tento distortion napodobuje zvuk hodně zkresleného hi-wattage Plexi Marshalla. Díky germaniové diodě nezní agresivně, ale spíš tepleji. Snadno se ovládá pomocí tří korekcí: VOLUME, TONE a SUSTAIN. Při vyjetém SUSTAIN se dostáváme až k fuzzoidnímu zkreslení. Stejně jako u Peppera má Ginger na vstupu buffer, nízkoimpedanční výstup, true-bypass přepínač a napájení 9V pin-. Zapojením tato krabička vychází z klasického Big Muff, obohaceného o germaniové komponenty. Dálší odlišností je jiný obvod na TONE, díky němuž je efekt poněkud více posazený na středech. Ginger též pěkně reaguje na stahování volume na kytaře, pěkně se čistí, aniž by ztrácel charakter. Hrajete-li se single-coil snímači přes aparát s čistým modem, tohle je řešení pro vás!

Our new line of LeeHooker distortion effects is based on the design concept requirement of vintage sound of the sixties and seventies of the last century while maintaining high user comfort. Similar idea was previously introduced by the famous British designer Peter Cornish. (His customers included entire British guitar elite such as David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and others ...)

Ginger's powerful rock sound resembles early 1970s and the raw guitar sound of Led Zeppelin and Bad Company. This distortion mimics the sound of distorted hi-wattage Plexi Marshall. Thanks to the germanium diode it does not sound aggressive, but rather warm. It is easily controlled with three pots: VOLUME, TONE and SUSTAIN. When you increase SUSTAIN, you get fuzz type distortion. As with Pepper, Ginger has a buffer input, a low-impedance output, true-bypass and a 9V pin- positive power supply. Circuitry of this box is based on the classic Big Muff, enriched by germanium components. Another difference is the different circuit for the TONE, making effect slightly more based on mid frequencies. Ginger also reacts nicely to low volume setting on guitar and cleans up the sound nicely without losing character. If you play with single-coil pickups through an amplifier with clean mode, this pedal is the solution for you!
